Changes in fashions throughout civilization might appear to be trivial. But such vivid costumes provide us with a great interpretation of history. Each change in clothing style helped transform people's minds and defined the respective eras' youth.

Such vivid costumes provide us with a great interpretation of history. In the 20th century, when there were tremendous changes in China and many people with high ideals sought to rescue the nation, Western costumes were gradually accepted by Chinese people, who were influenced by early overseas students.

Western learning gradually entered Oriental countries. From the long gown with mandarin jacket at the century's beginning, to Western-style clothes with leather shoes, to the Chinese tunic suit, from the Lenin-style suit in the 1950-60s to the green military uniform in the 1970s, followed in the 1980-90s by colorful clothes of different styles, each change in clothing style helped transform people's minds and defined the respective eras' youth.
